I have successfully run my own engineering firm in London for over twenty years. While navigating the demands of a high-pressure professional life, one of the greatest sources of strength and balance for me has always been art and theatre. This passion has remained constant throughout my life, and I have never—and will never—step away from theatre.

My journey in theatre began in 1996, and my dedication has only grown stronger over the years. Since 2009, I have been a board member of the non-profit organization, Arcola Theatre in London, contributing to its mission of fostering artistic development. I am also one of the founders of Arcola Alaturka, a group dedicated to Turkish-language theatre, where I have played significant roles in productions such as The Imaginary Invalid, The Crucible, How to Save Asiye, Mahmud and Yezida, and an adaptation of Samarkand.

Beyond performing, I have invested in my craft through individual and group theatre training, constantly seeking to grow as an artist. Most recently, I co-founded Meteatra, a new theatre company, alongside two close friends with whom I have shared the stage for many years. Our mission is to sustain the presence of both Turkish and English-language theatre in London and to create a platform that supports artistic initiatives and aspiring creators.

For me, theatre is not merely a hobby; it is a way of understanding life, connecting with people, and embracing creativity. I remain committed to creating, performing, and contributing to the transformative power of theatre.

Londra’da bir firma yöneticisi olarak, yirmi yılı aşkın süredir kendi mühendislik firmamı başarıyla yönetiyorum. Yoğun ve stresli iş hayatımda bana en çok güç veren, denge sağlayan ve yaratıcılığımı besleyen kaynaklardan biri her zaman sanat ve tiyatro oldu. Bu nedenle hayatımın hiçbir döneminde tiyatrodan vazgeçmedim ve vazgeçmeyi de düşünmüyorum.

1996 yılında başladığım tiyatro yolculuğunda, sahneye olan tutkum her geçen gün büyüdü. 2009’dan bu yana Londra’da Arcola Theatre’da kâr amacı gütmeyen bir yapının yönetim kurulunda yer alarak tiyatronun gelişimine katkı sağlıyorum. Aynı zamanda, Arcola Alaturka grubunun kurucularından biri olarak, Türkçe tiyatroyu Londra sahnesine taşıyan projelerde yer aldım. Hastalık Hastası, Cadı Kazanı, Asiye Nasıl Kurtulur, Mahmud ile Yezida ve Sermarkant gibi bircok önemli oyunlarda sahneye çıktım.

Tiyatroda yalnızca oyuncu olarak değil, bireysel ve grup eğitimleriyle de sürekli kendimi geliştirmeye çalıştım. Bugün ise iki değerli dostumla birlikte Meteatra adını verdiğimiz yeni bir tiyatro kumpanyasını kurduk. Hedefimiz, Londra’da hem Türkçe hem de İngilizce oyunlarla tiyatro sanatını yaşatmak, bu alanda üretmek isteyen sanatçılara destek sunacak bir platform oluşturmak ve sanatın gücünü daha geniş kitlelerle buluşturmak.

Sanat ve tiyatro, benim için sadece bir tutku değil, hayatı anlama ve insanlarla duygusal bağ kurma biçimi. Bu yolda üretmeye, sahne almaya ve tiyatroya olan bağlılığımı sürdürmeye kararlıyım.
